The flash offers notable speed and power with a rated guide number of 196′ at ISO 100 and 200mm. The adjustable zoom range of 20 to 200mm accommodates many different lenses. Tilting vertically from -7 to 120°, offers a broader bounce angle than on older models enabling you to bounce light with ease even when mounted on top of the camera. The VB26A lithium-ion battery supplied is rechargeable and supports high-speed sync triggering as fast as 1/8000 seconds with optional triggers. This battery is also interchangeable with the V1 and V860III’s battery.

I am happy with this flash, I needed a flash with a short recycle time for macro photography and this flash is much better than the one I had before which worked with AA batteries. The Li ion battery in this flash makes a big difference.
That being said, it only manages fast enough recycle time if I use 1 8 power. It feels like with modern technology it should be possible to get at least 5 shots per second at 1 4 power. But unfortunately this flash does not manage that.
Still, it is much, much better than what I had and the 1 8 power is sufficient if I use a smaller f stop.
If you want to do macro photography, get this flash instead of a flash that uses AA batteries.
